Those already employed within the sector and looking for a formal, nationally recognised qualification. Unemployed persons looking to become a Security Systems Engineer.

There are no entry requirements.

How much does the training cost?

• Employed: Delivered under T2G if you are aged 19 or over (subject to conditions) FREE of charge.
• Unemployed: Delivered under ‘back to work’ program FREE of charge.
• Apprentices: Delivered under ‘Apprenticeship Scheme’ (subject to conditions).
• Commercial: customised packages on request.

What will I study on the course?

Candidates are required to complete 4 units. Two mandatory units and two optional choice.

Total of 38 credits.

Mandatory Units: [units 001, 002 = 17 credits]

• Electrical & electronic principles of electro technology.
• Prepare an evaluation of group activities.

Optional Units: (choose 2 units)

• Access control systems
• Intruder alarm systems
• Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems
• Fire detection & alarm systems
• Integrated electronic security
• Electronic article surveillance systems

How long will it take?

Successful completion 15 weeks.
