Broadband:

This course provides delegates with the knowledge and skills and practical experience required to install, test and maintain broadband services transmitted via copper coax cable terminated in residential dwellings. We cover a full range of TV and digital set top box installation using the latest technology and legacy technology with a full range of connection methods and external and internal wiring.

The course focuses on the components, equipment and working practices that are typically used in digital transmission systems for residential customers. Most of the key tasks are performed on cabling that is in an internal  & external environment.

The knowledge and skills acquired can also be applied to other copper cabling systems including data networks and infrastructures in commercial and office environments.

Telephony:

This course provides delegates with the knowledge and skills to install, test and fault find, telephone systems into residential properties and to be able to give the customer a demonstration of the service installed.  The course also includes an online training course which provides delegates with the theory part of the course and includes:

  • Telephony Installation
  • Fault Analysis
  • Computer Skills
