ApprenticeshipsAre there different levels of Apprenticeships?Yes, there are three levels of Apprenticeship available for those aged 16 and over. CableCom Training Ltd will work with you to match the level which best fits your Apprenticeship roles
Apprenticeships – Level 2 [equivalent to 5 good GCSE passes]Apprentices work towards a work based qualification, either a Diploma or Certificate, a relevant knowledge based qualification such as a BTEC and Key Skills (to enhance literacy & numeracy competency). The qualification route chosen will be decided by the employer in consultation with a CableCom specialist and units / option choices chosen that ‘best fits’ the needs of the employer and the business. Completion of the Apprenticeship package chosen will provide the apprentice with the knowledge and skills necessary for their chosen career and allow entry into an Advanced Apprenticeship. Advanced Apprenticeships [equivalent to 2 A-level passes]Advanced apprentices work towards a work-based qualification, a Diploma, Key Skills and, in some cases, a relevant knowledge based Certificate such as a BTEC. To begin an Advanced Apprenticeship, the applicant should ideally have gained 5 GCSEs at A* - C grade or have completed an Apprenticeship at Level 2. Higher ApprenticeshipsHigher Apprentices work towards work-based learning qualifications such as an NVQ Level 4 or a Diploma, along with a knowledge based qualification such as a Foundation Degree. Alternative qualification pathways:Apprentices can progress to higher education, including university programmes of study.
Apprenticeships Level 2Telecommunications [Apprenticeship Framework 418]Main AimBTEC Level 2 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms ProfessionalsAssessed in the work place and provides skills development and experience. Sub AimLevel 2 Award in ICT Systems and Principles.Training centre based component, designed to provide a working knowledge of the effects of installation and diagnostic assessment within a telecommunications and cabling infrastructure. Added ValueLevel 2 Award in Communications Cabling – Fibre Optics & Data Communications.You will learn the basic principles of communications systems and explore fibre optics and copper cabling. Functional Skills:
Electronic Security Systems [Apprenticeship Framework 421]Main AimLevel 2 Certificate in providing Electronic Emergency Systems.Assessed in the work place and provides skills development and experience. Sub AimLevel 2 Certificate in Knowledge of Electronic Security & Emergency Systems.Training centre based component, designed to provide a working knowledge of the effects of installation and diagnostic assessment within a telecommunications and cabling infrastructure. Customer Service [Apprenticeship Framework 4430-02]Main AimBTEC Level 2 Certificate in Customer ServiceThis qualification is for anyone who works in a customer focused environment and is aimed at anyone who wishes to deliver continuous improvement in service to achieve customer satisfaction. It focuses on problem solving, developing good customer service and supporting new improvements in customer service. Sub Aim
